Gabriela, a Sassoon-based trained stylist, is an educator for AG ( AGhaircosmetics.com ) a haircare product we recommend at Dolce and she is a color educator for Schwarzkopf (Schwarzkopf.com), the color line she uses. She travels to Europe at least once a year to visit relatives and to take hair classes. Gabriela's first language was German, so it is no wonder she feels a huge pull to Germany--specifically Berlin, each year. Local classes are also on her agenda. Gabriela will be able to size up virtually instantly what will look best on you, in her opinion…her goal is to create a long-term relationship with you. This translates into excellent listening skills and communication skills when consulting with you. Gabriela loves cutting and dimensional lightening/darkening hair.  She will always leave you with a smile on your face, the perfect home hair-care regime, and an excellent cut and/or dimensional lightening/darkening. When Gabriela is not doing hair, she is at the gym, biking, traveling, hitting the newest plays, shows, restaurants, or relaxing with friends.

"Vania Staykova arrived in the US from Sofia, Bulgaria in the year 2001.  Vania brings with her  over 20 years of hair cutting and coloring expertise including MUCH experience from  the European Hair World!!  Not only was Vania a platform artist for Wella but she also has won numerous awards ranging from various hair-show competitions to being an award-winning stylist in competitions within Wella, amongst her peers.

It is always Vania's intention and goal to make each and every client feel special and appreciated, while visiting her at Pravda and of course, to create a style and look that will accentuate her client's natural good looks!

In a stylish, tourist city called Sliven in Bulgaria, close to the Black Sea, Vania owned salon Kristi that was quite well known being frequented by many socialites from Bulgaria.  In this salon, Vania also had an apprenticeship program that put the newby stylist through six months of intense training.  Many a successful stylist graduated from this school.  After selling this salon, Vania chose to travel to various countries, live, and pursue her hair career.  Saloniki-Greece, Melbourn-Australia, Madrid-Spain, Pretoria-South Africa.

Vania is also a long-standing member of the French-Bulgaria Coiffeur Partnership.  This partnership provides a connection hair professionals to visit, teach in, and  attend hair classes, shows, and salons all over France and Bulgaria.

Pravda is excited to have Vania as part of our experienced and seasoned team.  Vania specializes in multi-dimensional lightening of the hair while preserving the health of the hair through her favored hair-care line, Rene Furterer.  Hair cutting, glamour hair, coloring, gray coverage, hair extensions, and texture are ALL part of Vania's excellent abilities to do hair!! When not at Pravda, you can find Vania cooking Bulgarian/Greek Foods, gardening, or traveling to European countries or sunny beaches around the world, or she can be spotted having a cocktail with her very pretty daughter, Rozalina and other Bulgarian Beauties, at a swanky lounge in NW Portland, or shopping along NW 23rd Avenue, enjoying our fabulous city!
